General questions
Empowered Relief is an evidence-based, single-session pain class that rapidly equips patients with pain relief skills. Developed at Stanford University. Clinicians may attend a certification workshop that will allow them to embed Empowered Relief within their care setting.

No. Only certified instructors may deliver the Empowered Relief program. Please review our terms of use for additional information.
Any licensed clinician is eligible to register for our clinician certification workshops (e.g., physicians, nurses, psychologists, mental health therapists, social workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists).
Yes. We are pleased to offer three need-based scholarships per workshop. Scholarships provide a 50% discount on the registration fee.

No problem. Just email us, and we'll help you out.
We use Eventbrite to process registrations. We support payment via credit card. In terms of credit cards, our payment provider supports Visa, Discover, MasterCard and American Express. If your company or organization wants to purchase a large number of spots for your employees, please contact us.
Unfortunately, registration fees are non-refundable.
Requests to transfer registration to a future workshop will be considered with at least 30 days' notice only.
Certified instructors
Empowered Relief® Certified Instructors can request any of the Empowered Relief® Instructor Manuals by completing the form linked here. Spiral-bound manuals are $20 with shipping and handling included. Once we verify your Empowered Relief® Instructor status, we will email you an invoice to complete the payment.
